Mark Your West Ada Calendars March 6 2024

It’s time for a little break in our otherwise bustling school calendar! We wanted to remind our Owyhee High School families and students that Wednesday, March 6, will be a brief pause in our educational journey this year.

Why the Break?

This March 6 2024 West Ada Calendar break is not just any day off; it's a day dedicated to further enhancing the educational experience at Owyhee High. The school closure is due to District-wide teacher collaboration, an essential time for our educators to come together, share insights, and refine strategies to provide even better learning experiences for our students.

What It Means for You

  • No School: Enjoy a day off from school routines! Whether you catch up on some sleep, tackle that personal project you've been postponing, or spend quality time with friends and family, make the most of this day.

  • School Resumption: Mark your calendars to return refreshed and ready on Thursday, March 7.

  • Schedule Update: Upon our return, it will be a "B" day schedule, so plan your classes and activities accordingly.

Making the Most of Your Day Off

While a day off is always welcome, it’s a great opportunity to balance relaxation with productivity. Here are a few suggestions on how you can spend your day:

  • Catch Up on Assignments: If you’re falling behind on any schoolwork, now's your chance to catch up without the pressure of upcoming classes.

  • Explore a New Hobby: Been eyeing a new hobby or skill? Dedicate a few hours of your day to exploring something new, be it painting, coding, or yoga!

  • Read for Pleasure: In the hustle of school life, leisure reading often takes a backseat. Pick up that book you've been meaning to read and dive in.

  • Spend Time Outdoors: If the weather permits, step outside, stretch your legs, and enjoy some fresh air.

  • Rest and Recharge: Sometimes, doing nothing is doing something. Use this time to rest and mentally prepare for the return to your school routine.

A Note to Parents

This break, while brief, is a perfect time to check in with your child about school, discuss any challenges they might be facing, and plan for the remainder of the school year. Additionally, please remind your child about the return to school on Thursday and the "B" day schedule.

Thank you to all our Owyhee High School students, parents, and educators for your continuous dedication and hard work. Enjoy this well-deserved break, and let's come back ready to tackle the rest of the school year with renewed energy and focus!
